Heather is the Founder and Clinical Director of Art Therapy & Creative Counseling, Nationally, Registered Art Therapist and Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. She holds a Master of Art in Art Therapy from Albertus Magnus College as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a certificate in Art Therapy from School of Visual Arts in NYC. Heather has over ten years of experience working with a diverse range of populations including children, adolescents and adults. Heather uses a holistic treatment approach, including Art Therapy, as a way to enhance the therapeutic process when traditional talk therapy alone is not effective. She has a great amount of experience working with attentional issues, learning disorders, anxiety, adjustment issues, parent support, environmental stressors and work-life balance. She specializes in teens and young adults, with training in Cognitive Behavioral and Behavior Modification therapies as well as Motivational Interviewing. She believes in aiding clients to regain the idea that they can overcome challenges and obstacles. By providing coping strategies and unyielding support.
